Company Listed in Two Categories Highlighted as Those Enterprises Rely on to Run Their Business
LOS ANGELES, CA – November 11, 2020 – MediaPlatform was listed in two video technology categories that Forrester recommends companies continue to invest in in the newly published “The Forrester Tech TideTM: Video Technologies For Customer And Employee Experience, Q4 2020 October 28, 20202.”
In the report, Forrester notes that video is helping companies with pandemic-driven priorities, such as supporting remote workforces and customers and providing digital customer experiences. Forrester analyzed 19 key video technologies and recommends the actions companies should take – Invest, Maintain, Experiment or Divest – based on the business value and maturity of each.
MediaPlatform is named as a key vendor in the Enterprise Video Platform (EVP) and Webcasting technology categories, both of which Forrester assigns a “Maintain” investment rating. Forrester notes that these technologies are “the bread-and-butter technologies that most enterprises rely on to run their business.”
The report notes the importance of EVPs during the pandemic to help companies attract and retain top talent, particularly Millennials, while workers are remote. Webcasting platforms similarly provide an online forum for thought leadership and market education – as well as demand generation – to drive marketing and sales programs while in-person events are impractical or canceled.
“This report provides valuable perspectives on the video technology landscape and offers pertinent recommendations for where companies should increase, and reduce, their video technology investments,” said Mike Newman, CEO of MediaPlatform. “Video
enhances employee recruitment, retention and engagement in a time when we’re unable to work and meet in person, and provides the same continuity and connection to keep us in close contact with our customers and partners,” Newman said.
In addition to its inclusion in the Forrester Tech Tide, MediaPlatform has been named a leader by Gartner Research in its Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Video Content Management, and has been featured as a key provider in a number of recent industry reports including the Gartner EVCM Market Guide, Wainhouse Research’s “State of the Market: Enterprise Streaming Solutions and Services – 2020” report. MediaPlatform also was named one of the top players alongside Zoom, Microsoft and IBM and Cisco in global enterprise video industry research reports by Global Market Insights, Market Study Report LLC and DATAINTELO.
